Tour Overview
Vacation in Switzerland and Italy with train packages to Swiss mountains and Italian lakes.

Day 01:- Zurich – Lucerne
The World-famous historic city of Lucerne is situated right in the heart of Europe. Because of its central location on the idyllic Lake Lucerne and the fact that it is surrounded by impressive mountains, such as Mt. Titlis at 3’000 meters or the magnificent Mt. Pilatus, Lucerne is often referred to as “Switzerland within Switzerland”.

The Chapel Bridge with its gabled paintings of old battles and the adjacent quaint quarters with little streets. Take a leisurely walk through a maze of small streets, bridges, promenades and plazas dominated by countless historical towers, fountains and frescoed buildings.

See the sun set over Mount Pilatus while the paddle steamer gently glides over the tranquil water of the lake. Enjoy the vintage atmosphere on-board as you treat yourself to a drink on one of the deck chairs.

Day 02:- Mount Titlis
Take the train from Lucerne to Engelberg, they are leaving hourly and it takes 45 min.

The mountain village of Engelberg, is the starting point of this spectacular mountain excursion. All year round, Mount Titlis offers snow and ice experience on the highest viewpoint in Central Switzerland.

Going up to the top in the world first revolving gondola  is like being an eagle, exploring the landscape of the glacier world. Titlis Rotair offers a great diversity of attractions like riding the Ice Flyer chairlift over the glacier crevasses, having fun while snow tubing at the Titlis Glacier Park, enjoying the stunning view while walking on the glacier path to “Stotzig Egg – viewpoint”, gazing at the glacier cave or just having lunch on 3028 m asl. And do not forget to visit the famous photo shop world’s highest watch shop.

Day 03:- Interlaken
The holiday resort rich in tradition, in the heart of the Swiss alps, situated between the Lakes of  Thun   and Brienz and at the foot the famous trio of peaks, the Eiger, the Mönch and the Jungfrau. Come and join the action, all in the most spectacular of settings.

No other lake in Switzerland possesses the incredible blue hue of Lake Brienz. The lake shimmers turquoise, then silver-blue-grey – it’s quite unique. The lake is surrounded by steep, towering mountains.

From Interlaken it is only a matter of minutes to the Harder Kulm. This attractive vantage point offers fine views of the Bernese Oberland “capital” (between the Lakes of Brienz and Thun) as well as the entire Jungfrau Region.

Day 04:- Schilthorn
It takes you just 32 minutes by Cable car to reach the summit of the 2970 m high Schilthorn. Enjoy the beautiful view of Eiger, Mönch and Jungfrau (UNESCO World Heritage) and on more than 200 other summits. Have a break at the world’s first revolving restaurant Piz Gloria and follow the tracks of James Bond: in the Touristorama we will show you extracts of the 007 Movie “On Her Majesty’s Secret Service”, which was filmed at the Schilthorn. Or simply enjoy the spectacular view from our big terrace!

 Trümmelbach Falls plunges in 5 majestic cascades through the gorge. There is an elevator embeded in the rock to a series of galleries, the last stop of which is at a wall where the upper fall descends.

Murren has a great location – high above the Lauterbrunnen Valley, situated at 1624 meters Mürren is the highest year-round resort village in the Bernese Oberland.

Day 05:- Lugano
The journey leads through impressive mountain scenery.  The trail passes through mountain villages, and forests with crystal clear streams. The Gotthard Rail Tunnel, is a 15-kilometre long railway tunnel  and forms the summit of the  Gotthard Railway. It connects Göschenen in the north with Airolo in the south and was the first tunnel through the Gotthard massif. The tunnel was built from 1871 to 1881 .

Lugano, the largest town in the holiday region of Ticino, is not only Switzerland’s third most important financial centre and a conference, banking and business centre, but also a town of parks and flowers, villas and sacred buildings. With Mediterranean flair, Lugano offers all the advantages of a world-class city, combined with the cachet of a small town.

The Funicular Monte Brè:
Since 1912 the funicular leads in one quarter of an hour – leaving from Cassarate  on the peak of Monte Bre (933 m), a place that offers numerous opportunities to the visitor. In fact from Monte Bre – the sunniest mountain in Switzerland – you can appreciate the splendor of Mount Rosa, the Bernese and Valais Alps and  with a short walk you discover the nucleus of Bre with its interesting interior furniture and urban areas. 

Day 06:- Venice
In the morning, take the  train to Milan first, it takes 1:30 h, there you pick the high speed train to Venice, it takes 2:40 h. Check in at your hotel.

The city of Venice, Italy, is simply stunning and completely unique. Founded more than 1,500 years ago on 117 different islands, Venice is linked by a series of over 150 canals, 400 bridges and many ancient pavements. The historic city centre of Venice is divided into six quarters (sestieri) – Cannaregio, Castello, Dorsoduro, San Marco, San Polo and Santa Croce. All buildings in Venice are supported on slender oak and pine piles (posts) which are driven deep into the ground to create a solid foundation. As the soil is waterlogged, with no free oxygen, the piles remain strong and do not decay.

Venice is without doubt one of the most beautiful and popular cities in the world, and is always admired by the many tourists that visit throughout the year. There are several tourist information branches operated by the Azienda di Promozione Turistica, located on the Piazza San Marco, the Piazzale Roma, the Gran Viale anta Maria Elisabetta, the Lungomare Adriatico, the Venice Pavilion and the Stazione di Santa Lucia. A further tourism outlet is conveniently situated in the arrivals hall at the Marco Polo Airport. If you have time for day trips, there are also many interesting towns to explore, such as Burano, Murano, Padua, Torcello, Verona and Vicenza. 

Day 07:- Venice- Florence
Continue your sightseeing in the morning at your own pace.

In the afternoon take the train to Florence. Direct Trains from Venice to Florence are leaving every hour, it takes 2 h But you have to decide in advance as this high speed trains need prior reservation.

Florence is located on the banks of the River Arno, Florence is famous for its history and especially its importance in the Middle Ages and during the Renaissance, its  art and architecture and, more generally, for its cultural heritage. A centre of medieval  European trade and finance and one of the wealthiest cities of the time. It is connected to the master pieces of Michelangelo and Leonardo da Vinci. 

Day 08:- Florence- Rome
Go for sightseeing in Florence in the morning, the city center is small and all important sights are close to each other. In the afternoon take the direct train to Rome, it takes only 1:30 h.

You can decide to follow the typical tourist paths or you can be luck or brave enough to go off the usual tracks. One way or the other, Rome will seduce you and it will hardly leave you indifferent. It will surprise you, like a beautiful middle aged woman that has still plenty to offer and whose beauty is just been merely blurred by time passing by.Rome is one of world’s most photogenic cities – not surprising when you remember what’s here:

Day 09:- Rome
Discover the Eternal City in the easiest and most convenient way, get on board and stop at your pleasure to the most famous monuments of Rome!

Suspended between history and legend, myth and beauty, from Baroque to modern times, every age saw the Eternal City shining in its magic splendour. City Sightseeing Rome will allow you to travel through history and visit the places where the ancient Romans lived their social and political life as well as to admire the great Papal Rome, with its fine buildings and beautiful churches, by just sitting comfortable on board our buses. You will be able to visit the many churches, monuments, palaces, squares and streets of Imperial and Christian Rome, of Baroque and Modern Rome. You can admire the great monuments of ancient Rome like the Imperial Forums, the Coliseum and the Circus Maximum. You will see the most beautiful Christian places like St. Peter’s Basilica and Santa Maria Maggiore.
